Philadelphia is known for it’s diverse music scene ranging from R&B to the underground punk rock scene. This week’s band spotlight focuses on CRUISR, an indie pop group from Philadelphia.

CRUISR consists of lead singer and rhythm guitarist Andy States, drummer Jon Van Dine and lead guitarist and keyboardist Bruno Catrambone. The band’s sound is best categorized as catchy, yet chill alternative pop. CRUISR’s songs have been played on 104.5, Philadelphia’s Alternative, and they are now touring with Against the Current, a pop rock band from Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

While CRUISR has yet to release an album, it has released 2 EPs entitled “CRUISR” (2012) and “All Over” (2014). Most recently, the group released a new two-track single called “Take That” which includes songs called “Take That” and “The Fritz.”

CRUISR will be in Philadelphia on January 14, 2017, at The Foundry at The Fillmore, with Against the Current.

Songs to Download: “Take That”, “Moving to Neptune”, and “Go For It”.
