DMAX clubs on campus serve to allow students to help other students with their mental health. There is a large emphasis on the students checking on each others’ well being. The campus clubs includes talking, activities, etc. to accommodate students’ ability to discuss mental health comfortably.

The DMAX Foundation is named after Burstein-Maxwell’s son, Dan Maxwell, who lost his life to suicide. Maxwell was a three-sport athlete and his teammates nicknamed him “DMAX.”
