Networking can be hard, which is why we’re making it easy for you! On Saturday, April 16th, WHIP Radio will be holding our 6th annual Temple University Radio Networking Summit (TURNS). The event is open to all students and faculty, as well as to the general public, so all are welcome to join us over Zoom from 12-3 p.m. EST.

TURNS gives attendees the opportunity to network with radio and media professionals from not only the Philadelphia area, but all over the country, as well. You can check out panels that suit your personal career interests, but also pop into the other sessions for fresh perspectives from talented experts.

TURNS is only a few days away, so make sure to check out the jam packed schedule and register here: https://kleinvirtual.events/turns-2022/

To get the most out of your TURNS experience, we recommend taking the following steps to ensure your networking is successful:

1. Make sure your LinkedIn profile is up to date

This includes having a dapper headshot (don’t be afraid to show off your beautiful self!), an updated resume, your work experiences, and a well-written summary. LinkedIn is becoming more indispensable by the day, so make yours stand out, especially since there will be some awesome radio pros looking to see what you’re made of.

2. Do your homework

And we’re not talking about that assignment you’ve been putting off for weeks now (wouldn’t hurt to get that done either, though). Do some background research on our panelists and speakers so you know what they’re all about. This can help you decide which sessions would be the most beneficial for you, but it also helps to know information about our guests so you’re more prepared when speaking with them.

3. Choose the panels that sound the most interesting to you

After you’ve researched our lovely panelists, take your picks for which sessions you’ll attend when the big day arrives. While this may be difficult due to all of the interesting guests we have lined up, this will help save time during the Zoom. Decide now, but you can always switch between sessions if you feel like hearing about another topic during TURNS.

Follow these steps and your experience at TURNS will be a breeze. We hope to see you there!
