On August 24, doors to the Electric Factory opened to hundreds of amped up fans excited to see Lil Yachty in action along with Evander Griiim and members of Lil Yachty’s collective widely known as the Sailing Team.

Lil Yachty popped up in Philadelphia as a part of his “Teenage Tour” which had 26 shows in various cities across the nation. Fans in attendance sang along to old fan favorites, such as “One night” as well as Yachty’s newest tracks “Peek-a-boo” and “Say my Name.” Both singles appear on his debut album titled, Teenage Emotions, which landed on shelves this May. Youthful energy was not absent during the show, as each performance from start to finish encouraged concert goers to mosh about in the crowd.

Texas native and rising rapper, Evander Griiim, was an opening act for this tour stop and bounced across the stage to the tune of his popular singles such as “The Step.”   Following Griiim, sailing team members K $upreme and the collective’s first lady, Kodi Shane kept up the show’s momentum.  Kodi Shane played a collection of old and new songs from her catalog and had concert goers hyped to her widely known hit  “Drip in my Walk.” Shane even debuted an unreleased single titled “Level Up.” After a brief intermission following Kodi Shane’s set, concert goers chanted “Yachty,” while raging to the DJ who played a stream of top 40 hits.

When Lil Yachty finally took the stage as the concerts grand finale, fans went into overdrive. Lil Yachty interacted with the crowd during his entire performance. From picking lucky fans to come onstage and sing along with him, to instructing the crowd from time to time to take the items in their hands and toss it in the air. A couple times that night, the Electric Factory bursted with bass,  t-shirts and water bottles.

Lil Yachty remained true to his happy and positive reputation by stopping the music twice, to have two fans who were fighting set aside their differences and come together to have a good time.

Overall, Lil Yachty and his Sailing team made sure that Philly fans left the Electric Factory with soaked t-shirts and sore throats, anticipating the next time he sails into Philadelphia to put on another great show.
