Long Story Short: Episode 3

250 years ago, doctor’s didn’t wash their hands before surgery. These days many surgeries are performed with robotic hands. I can walk into a building, say the number ‘4’ to someone three times, and they’ll give me a complete meal. This isn’t normal – people have only been living like this for about 0.05% of the time modern humans have been around. Ever wonder how this happened? Why have we built up societies and technology where other life hasn’t? In this episode of Long Story Short, Tony Pearson looks at how humans overcame one of life’s greatest challenges.
