Madeon @ The Electric Factory

WRITTEN BY: STEVE JONES

On his second to last stop on the Pixel Empire Tour – a name deriving off one of the songs off his Adventure album – 21-year-old electro funk producer Madeon made a stop at the Electric Factory to display his new live performance.

With enhanced visuals and new live production, Madeon ensured his fans that this tour would not be one to miss. While playing his original releases and remixed tracks, he incorporated variations in production so even a die-hard fan still heard versions of songs never heard before.

The show opened with pop musician and producer Skylar Spence performing a 45-minute set.

While sticking to his signature Ableton Live trademark, Madeon took some time to speak to the crowd more often than previously seen. He also took the mic to sing and play piano with some of his songs as well. Straying from the stereotype of a typical EDM concert, Madeon took the stage at 9:30 playing a continuous one hour and fifteen minute set. Including the Adventure album in full, he played two brand new exclusives, still untitled.
