Although we are currently within a new year of 2016, in the culture of Hip Hop we are still dealing with some 2015 issues or beefs.

Last year, Drake and Meek Mill began beefing over a speculation of a verse that supposedly Drake didn’t write. The song was on Meek’s album, “Dreams Worth More Than Money” and the song was titled “Rico.”

“Rico” began to get a buzz at first but when Meek Mill tweeted: “He doesn’t even write his own raps.”

Everyone was shocked and began to question Drake’s writing process.

Shortly afterward, Drake released a song called, “Back to Back,” in “which he took a lot of shots at Meek Mill.”

As Hip-Hop being a competitive sport many people felt that Meek Mill lost and didn’t compete well with his song reply “I wanna know.”

Throughout all of the memes and fans’ opinions, Meek Mill kept focused on “Dream Chasing.”

Fast-forward to January 2016 and they are back in the ring. Feb. 1, 2016 Drake dropped a song titled “Summer Sixteen” where he speaks about him and Meek Mill staying in the same hotel in Toronto and playing the song “Back to Back 100 Times.”

Meek Mill then fired back with a song titled “War Pain” featuring his artist and cousin Omelly.

He also talked about the fact that they both were in the same hotel in Toronto and of Drake’s supposed jealousy of Toronto artist Tory Lanes.

Many people feel that this battle is back on and is looking to get even better.

If I were you, I would keep your ears open for who throws the next punch in this battle.
