Lizzy O’Laughlin – Social Media Director

Lizzy O’Laughlin is a senior broadcast journalism major from Seattle, Washington. She has been on-air at WHIP since the fall of 2012 as a member of the very first news team. The following semester, she began co-hosting a Saturday news show, and by fall 2013, that had evolved to what is now Rational Radio.

She became Social Media Director at the station in Fall 2014. O’Laughlin didn’t have radio experience before WHIP, but was deeply involved in video production since high school. She has been featured in several film festivals, local and national. During college she interned at Fox 29 and is currently interning at the Greater Philadelphia Film Office. Her interests include TV, film, technology, criminal justice, law, all you can eat sushi and driving her manual transmission 1991 BMW 3-series back home in Seattle. Since graduation is coming up really REALLY fast, she’s figuring out what she wants to do and is leaning toward a career in television, film, or maybe even the FBI.
